Rangers knock NY out

The Texas Rangers defeated the NY Yankees 6-1 Friday night (Oct 22) to close out the A.L.C.S. It wasn’t looking good to begin with, especially when the Rangers took Games 2, 3, and 4. New York got support, but just couldn’t hit them left-handed pitchers. The Rangers added two additional left-handed pitchers for this series (A.L.C.S.). The Yankees did battle back in Game 1 to win, supplied an A-Rod stalker (Grim Lerogue) for Game 4, and destroyed the Rangers in Game 5.
The Rangers and their owner, HOF pitcher Nolan Ryan, had been preparing for the Yankees since Spring Training. You have to admit the combination of great left-handed pitching and seasoned catcher Bengie Molina behind the plate made the difference. For the Yankees it ended up being a whole series of adjusting to left-handed little known pitchers. The Yankees will be back next year!!!
